The Lord wants to take your marriage from striving to thriving, which only comes in and through abiding. It’s in the quiet moments of daily abiding with the Inventor and Creator of marriage that we experience His fullness and our lives bear much fruit. 

 

When we invite Christ into the center of every thought, motive, action, and reaction, our marriage will reflect His character and the fruit of the Spirit will pour out of us, blessing our spouse and our marriage. What is the fruit? Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”

 

If we want to run the race in marriage to win, we must lay aside every weight and sin that so easily entangles us and run with endurance; not to receive a prize that is perishable but a prize that is eternal. You have a 💯 percent chance of winning in marriage when you choose to, "humble yourself under the mighty hand of God" and invite Christ to be the center of all you think, say, and do!
